ChiFRA meeting with Candida Verdier Urbanismo of 15 May 2009
Friday, 22 May 2009

The meeting was held at the Ayuntamiento’s Urbanismo office in Chiclana with the head of the department, Candida Verdier.  In attendance were two members of her staff, three members of the German residents’ association, and four members of ChiFRA.  Both foreign residents’ associations had provided questions in advance of the meeting, but it appeared that they had not made it through to Candida prior to the meeting.

Candida started the meeting by stating that, with regards to urbanisation, there are local, national and European laws that apply, just like in all countries including England and Germany.  There is land that cannot be built on.  In Chiclana, everyone will be treated equally, with no discrimination.
