Blevins Franks Articles
Wednesday, 20 June 2018

Blevins Franks have sent me two articles on Brexit, that dreaded word. The first article

Preparing for Brexit and residency in Spain  gives us comfort in that we will still be able to live in Spain afterwards.

The second article Spain cracks down on Gibraltar “residency” gives an insight into "how the other half live" and also tells us the rules about being tax resident in Spain.

You can read both articles by clicking on the Blevins Franks logo in the top right corner of this page

LOUA changes
Monday, 22 January 2018

The LOUA (Ley Ordanacion Urbano Andalucía) is in the process of change again; the AFO (Asimilacion Fuera de Ordación) which currently is for houses outside the PGOU town plan maybe applied to houses inside a town plan where the urbanisation will not happen for some while.

Further to this; because a PGOU town plan takes so long to develop and become law, the Junta de Andalucía are considering changing it to make it easier. The Junta also want to call it LUSA (Ley Urbano Sostenible Andalucía)

Blevins Franks articles
Wednesday, 02 August 2017

There are two new articles from our sponsors Blevins Franks; to read the articles just click on the Blevins Franks icon at the top of this page.

The first article is about the 17 Autonomous authorities that make up Spain getting the tax regime roughly equal for each authority. Currently Andalucía pays the most tax and eight authorities have backed a unification process to equalise the various taxes.

The second article refers to the cross border tax requests and makes the point how easy it is to get your tax returns wrong especially if you have ISA's.

Well worth a read to keep up to date
